Julia Yancy, BA

Julia Yancy was born and raised on Nantucket and has been part of Fairwinds since 2022, where she currently serves as the Operations Manager. Julia has held a variety of roles at Fairwinds, including Office Manager, Office Assistant Manager, Office Administrator, Therapeutic Mentor, and Community Support Provider. These experiences, combined with her lifelong connection to Nantucket, have given her a deep understanding of the unique needs of individuals and families in the island community. Julia graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2022 with a double major in Economics and Philosophy and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at Simmons University. She is passionate about reducing mental health stigma and promoting compassionate, inclusive, and accessible care. In her leadership role, Julia is committed to collaboration, continuous improvement, and keeping the experiences and needs of those served at the heart of Fairwinds’ work. Outside of work, Julia enjoys traveling the world and spending time with her family, friends, and furry companions.
