June Meyers

June hails from Northeast Pennsylvania and has a master’s degree in English education. She met her husband Don at Merrill Lynch in Plainsboro, New Jersey and they lived briefly in Texas and California before moving to Nantucket in 1996. In here years on Nantucket, June has worked at Nantucket Marine, Congdon’s Pharmacy, The Beacon newspaper, the Chamber of Commerce, and Registry of Deeds. She enjoys surveying the Second Shop’s eclectic wares and chatting with the patrons. June’s wide ranging interests include thrift shops, nonfiction books, true crime, George Harrison, the Apollo/Gemini astronauts, and the Chernobyl disaster. She collects autographed books, astronaut signatures, eclectic Art, and religious icons. Her favorite motto is: “Keep calm and carry on.”
