Karen Gagnier

Karen joined the Fairwinds Advisory Board in 2016. She cares deeply about health and wellness for all, and has found her niche in wellness education and facilitation through non-profit organizations. Her focus has been on community outreach, fundraising, and program development. She has developed wellness programs and workshops for: Fox Chase Cancer Center, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, TheVillage, Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, and Villanova University. Given her early professional experience in Marketing, she understands the importance of fundraising, and is quick to jump in to offer marketing suggestions or event labor—whatever it takes! Karen has helped run fundraising events for Living Beyond Breast Cancer, TheVillage, Family Promise of the Main Line, Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Hunger Program, and her favorite—Blooming Bids for Fairwinds!

Karen and her family of six have been coming to Nantucket for over 30 years, and their love for Nantucket has grown in direct proportion to their growing family—current grandchild count is 5, with one on the way. In her spare time, when Karen is not practicing yoga or cooking (and dancing) with her grandchildren, you may find her biking around town—which may even be on the back of a motorcycle with her husband Chris!
