Kate Werner, LMHC

Kate Werner, LMHC, received her Master's of Science in Mental Health Counseling from University of Mass, Boston. Kate began working at Fairwinds as an outpatient and in-home therapist and now as a Crisis clinician. Prior to Fairwinds, Kate dedicated many years to supporting our island’s children in a variety of capacities, beginning as the Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Nantucket Teen Center, and more recently, focused on social-emotional support for students at the Nantucket Elementary School. Kate also worked as a psychiatric case manager for adults in residential settings both on island and in upstate New York. A long time resident of Nantucket, Kate raised her family on island and now spends her free time traveling, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
