Kate Werner, LMHC

Kate Werner, LMHC, received her degree from University of Mass, Boston with MS in Mental Health Counseling. Kate began working at Fairwinds in 2021 as an outpatient and in-home therapist and now provides clinical services as both an outpatient and crisis clinician. Prior to Fairwinds, Kate dedicated many years to supporting our island’s children in a variety of capacities, beginning as the Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Nantucket Teen Center, and more recently, focused on social-emotional support for students at the Nantucket Elementary School. Kate also worked as a psychiatric case manager for adults in residential settings both on island and in upstate New York. A long time resident of Nantucket, Kate raised her family on island and now spends her free time traveling, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family, friends, and her beloved dog.
